It is a question, an answer, a greeting and a polite way to change the subject, all in two syllables. Literally, it means \u201cit goes\u201d. In practice, it means almost everything.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c7a va? As a question<\/h2>\n<p>Say it with a rising tone, and <em>\u00e7a va ?<\/em> means \u201cHow are you?\u201d or \u201cHow\u2019s it going?\u201d. It is the most common way to greet a friend, a colleague or a neighbour you already know.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00c7a va ?<\/strong> \u2014 How\u2019s it going?
